Aurealia Florea told us about authentic leadership in a premium brand, where excellence is reflected not only in products, but also in organizational culture, trust, and the employee experience.

In a premium brand, excellence is not just a promise made to the market. It is a standard reflected in everything you build, including the culture you create for people. For me, this is one of the most valuable lessons from my professional experience in Brașov.

I have learned that leadership means more than direction, performance, and results.

Above all, it means the responsibility to build trust. And trust does not come with a role, nor is it earned through a title. It is built over time, through consistency, authenticity, and the power of personal example. People do not simply follow goals or processes. They follow credible leaders, healthy relationships, and environments where they feel they can contribute with purpose.

What makes this experience even more valuable is the strong connection between what we build locally and the global culture we are part of. Miele, with over 126 years of experience, lives by the same values that inspire us today: quality, respect, responsibility, and a long-term mindset. For me, this is one of the most beautiful expressions of a premium brand: excellence does not stop at the product—it continues in leadership, in relationships between people, and in the experience the company creates internally.

In a world that is constantly changing, people need more than stability. They need meaning, autonomy, growth, impact, and connection. That is precisely why the MAGIC principles — Meaning, Autonomy, Grow, Impact, Connect — help us transform culture into a real, relevant, and living experience.

I believe this is exactly where we manage to be different and remain an Employer of Choice: in the way we transform values into behaviors, leadership into example, and culture into a space where people choose to grow, contribute, and stay. Because a premium brand is not defined only by what it delivers externally, but also by what it inspires internally.

I believe this is exactly where we manage to be different and remain an Employer of Choice: in the way we turn values into behaviors, leadership into example, and culture into a space where people choose to grow, contribute, and stay.

Because, in the end, a premium brand is not recognized only by what it creates for its customers, but also by what it awakens in its people: trust, pride, a sense of belonging, and the desire to build something that truly matters together.

An interview with Olariu Daniel, CEO of Ola Cleaning, about building a business in an essential yet often overlooked industry. From operational challenges to standards, teams, and the future of professional cleaning.

Olariu Daniel is an entrepreneur from Brașov and the administrator of Ola Cleaning, a professional cleaning company for residential and commercial spaces, including offices. The company grew from a simple yet ambitious idea: more reliability, more order, clear standards, in a vital field that is still often treated as “background work.” Daniel often says that the goal is not just to deliver a service, but to raise the bar of the industry, which includes both continuous training and membership in the Employers’ Association of the Cleaning Industry in Romania.

C&B: If we were to look at the narrative thread of your career, what were the key moments that defined you?

Olariu Daniel: My professional journey was built step by step, through different experiences that shaped me on an operational level. I started in the field of graphics and technology, then moved into logistics and coordination, where suddenly it was no longer just about tasks, but about people, deadlines, results, and pressure. Honestly, the turning point came when I chose entrepreneurship: I realized I wanted something of my own, stable, built over time, not improvised. Ola Cleaning was born from a direct, almost simple observation: the market needed services delivered professionally, predictably, and with real respect for the client.

C&B: What has been the most difficult moment so far in the journey of Ola Cleaning and how did you overcome it?

Olariu Daniel: Human resources remain the biggest challenge, especially in an operational field where it’s difficult to maintain stable teams. There were times when, in the same day, I was the administrator, the coordinator, and the person on-site. I wouldn’t say I’ve completely solved this issue—it’s an ongoing process that comes with growth. What I do consistently now is structure things: systems, routines, checks, so the company depends less on my direct involvement.

C&B: Is there a dream or ambition that has always guided you, regardless of obstacles?

Olariu Daniel: Yes. To build a respected business and to show that fields considered invisible can operate at high standards, without shortcuts. Professional cleaning directly impacts people’s health, comfort, and even productivity, and I believe this sector should be treated with the same importance as any other service.

C&B: What were you like at the beginning of your journey and how do you feel you’ve transformed up to now?

Olariu Daniel: At the beginning, I was the person putting out fires, solving immediate issues, sometimes just to get through the day. Now, even though situations still arise, I try to think long term. The biggest change, I think, is the shift from an executor mindset to that of someone who builds systems and teams. Entrepreneurship teaches you patience—sometimes the hard way—and forces you to be consistent.

C&B: If we met your team or collaborators, what do you think they would say about you?

Olariu Daniel: They would probably say I’m demanding, maybe stubborn at times, but involved. I want things done correctly, with responsibility, and I don’t really negotiate on that. At the same time, I try to offer stability and predictability, because in practical work, mutual respect is not a slogan—it’s the fuel.

C&B: What is the most important decision you’ve made that changed your trajectory?

Olariu Daniel: The decision to treat cleaning as a profession in itself, not as something occasional. Investing in professional equipment, training, and clear standards changed our direction, and just as importantly, it changed how clients perceive us.

C&B: What values form the foundation of Ola Cleaning’s organizational culture and how are they reflected in the client experience?

Olariu Daniel: Responsibility, consistency, and continuous development, without hiding behind words. We attend specialized courses, we are members of the Employers’ Association of the Cleaning Industry in Romania, and we participate in events and trade fairs dedicated to cleaning. All of this keeps us connected to what’s happening in the industry. For clients, this translates into predictability, trust, and the fact that we don’t promise one thing and deliver another.

C&B: What is Ola Cleaning’s main differentiator in such a competitive market?

Olariu Daniel: Professionalization, first of all, but also adaptability. In a field where “good enough” is still common, we aim to maintain clear standards and apply them consistently. Continuous training, along with staying connected to the industry, helps us use modern methods and choose the right solutions for each client, not one-size-fits-all approaches.

C&B: What does a typical day look like for you now and which moments bring you the greatest satisfaction?

Olariu Daniel: A normal day is a mix of operations and business growth, sometimes in the same minute. Team organization, client discussions, adjustments in internal processes, checks. The greatest satisfaction, honestly, is when I see the team functioning autonomously and when clients stay long-term because they trust us.

C&B: How do you manage to maintain a consistent standard of quality in a field where execution is essential?

Olariu Daniel: Through operational discipline and continuous learning. Quality cannot rely solely on “the right person,” because people change, get tired, have off days. You need procedures, checks, routines, even if it doesn’t sound romantic. Training programs and our involvement in the Employers’ Association help us keep standards up to date and avoid working by guesswork.

C&B: How did the story of Ola Cleaning begin and what motivated you to build this brand?

Olariu Daniel: It started from a need directly observed in the market: the lack of professional, predictable services with continuity. The motivation was, essentially, seriousness—to build a company based on trust. Stability for clients, but also a fair working framework for employees, because otherwise you can’t maintain quality.

C&B: What type of innovation would you like to introduce in Ola Cleaning in the near future?

Olariu Daniel: Digitalization and automation in the operational area: monitoring interventions, reporting, resource optimization. I believe the industry’s direction will increasingly be a close combination of human competence and technology, and there is still a lot of room here—for work and for learning.

Olariu Daniel’s story shows that performance is not defined by the field, but by the standards you choose to uphold. In an industry where “good enough” has long been the norm, Ola Cleaning offers a different direction: discipline, consistency, and genuine respect for the client.

In a tense economic climate shaped by fake news, reputation becomes critical. Discover how the trust crisis impacts companies and what entrepreneurs can do to protect their business.

For companies and brands, the first signs of a crisis do not always appear in macroeconomic indicators. They also show up in people’s behavior.

Recent retail data reflects this shift: food sales dropped by over 21% in January 2026 compared to December 2025, a sign that households are rapidly adjusting their consumption behavior in a tense economic context. This economic shift also has a less discussed consequence: a crisis of trust.

According to the Edelman Trust Barometer 2026, economic anxiety is now one of the main factors eroding social trust. The study shows that around 70% of people say they hesitate to trust individuals or organizations that use different sources of information or hold different values. In such a climate, negative information—even false information—spreads much faster and is more easily believed. For companies, this is a major vulnerability.

In over 22 years of working in communication and crisis management, I have seen this mechanism repeat itself many times. Reputational crises do not always occur when you make a major mistake. Sometimes they arise from a combination of a tense social context, incomplete information, and the speed at which it spreads.

Today, technology amplifies this phenomenon. Artificial intelligence has democratized content production: credible images, texts, or video clips can be generated in minutes. At the same time, social media algorithms favor emotional and polarizing content—exactly the type of information that spreads the fastest.

The result is an information ecosystem in which reputations can be affected extremely quickly. In many cases, reputational crises no longer stem from real company issues, but from perceptions or incomplete information that go viral before the organization has time to react.

However, fake news has a different dynamic than a classic crisis. One of the most common mistakes I have seen over the years is companies’ reflex to aggressively debunk false information. Intuitively, it seems logical: if the information is false, you explain and correct it.

In reality, things don’t always work that way. Once fake news reaches a certain volume of online conversation, attempting to debunk it head-on can have the opposite effect: it amplifies it, because that’s how algorithms are designed. This phenomenon is known as the Streisand effect—the moment when trying to correct or hide information only makes it more visible.

In the digital age, algorithms don’t help at all. On the contrary, they favor exactly the type of content that generates strong emotional reactions. And denials, controversies, and public disputes are precisely the kind of content that keeps the conversation alive.

There is also another common trap: trying to respond to fake news exclusively with rational arguments and detailed explanations. This doesn’t always work either.

Social psychology shows us that people are wired in a paradoxical way: we often care more about the perception of the majority than about our own analysis of the facts. We tend to adjust our opinions to align with what we believe others think. That’s why people can be influenced by fake news even when, rationally, they know the information is false.

In such situations, companies must understand that the stake is not just factual truth, but also social perception. It is not enough to prove that the information is false, but it is essential to act quickly and try to remove the false information from media platforms as fast as possible (and this is where the discussion begins about why I still believe more in press communication than influencer communication—but that’s a topic for another time). It is equally important to show that others also believe the information is false.

Social validation—coming from experts, opinion leaders, institutions, or relevant communities—often becomes more powerful than a company’s technical explanation.

For entrepreneurs, the lesson is simple: reputation is no longer just an image or marketing element. It has become business infrastructure.

In times of economic uncertainty, companies that people trust are the ones that manage to retain customers, employees, and partners. The others become much more vulnerable to perception-driven crises.

From crisis communication consulting experience, there are three simple things entrepreneurs should keep in mind in 2026.

The first is information speed. In a world where fake news can appear at any time, a company’s greatest vulnerability is silence. Organizations must constantly monitor conversations about their brand and be ready to quickly clarify incorrect information.

The second is behavioral consistency. Trust is not built in a single campaign or one inspired communication moment. It is built through a long series of small moments in which the company proves it is transparent, responsible, and consistent. In a crisis, you don’t start building reputation—you only test it. After two decades of working in reputation management, I have seen companies that navigated difficult situations relatively easily precisely because they already had this trust capital. And I have seen organizations collapse reputationally not because of the crisis itself, but because they lacked this foundation.

The third is preparation. One of the biggest myths about crises is that they can only be managed when they occur. In reality, the first stages of proper crisis management begin long before: scenarios, internal training, simulations, and, perhaps most importantly, the courage to put on paper even the most unpleasant or unlikely risks a company might face (once you see them and name them, they are no longer a surprise).

This exercise is not comfortable for any organization. But it is essential. Companies that imagine the most difficult scenarios in advance are almost always the ones that respond more clearly when something actually happens.

All of this starts from the same reality: we live in an economy of suspicion. Economic anxiety, social polarization, and the explosion of generative technologies create a context in which perceptions can shift extremely fast. For entrepreneurs, the challenge is no longer just to grow their business, but to protect their trust capital.

Paradoxically, in a world dominated by technology and algorithms, the competitive advantage remains a deeply human one: trust.

An interview with Marian Stănculescu, founder of Furnizor-Unic.ro, on entrepreneurship, strategic decisions, business integrity, and building a B2B platform focused on efficiency, control, and long-term partnerships.

Marian Stănculescu is a Romanian entrepreneur, founder of the B2B platform Furnizor-Unic.ro, a project built out of a real need to simplify company procurement, which today serves businesses across multiple industries through a business model focused on efficiency, control, and scalability.

C&B: If we were to look at a narrative thread of your career, which were the key moments that defined you?

Marian Stănculescu: The first defining moment was the decision to give up employee status and build my own business, in a context where resources were limited but the desire for autonomy and accountability was very clear. It was a necessary break that forced me to think long term and take on real risks.
The second moment came from direct contact with the market: carefully listening to the needs of B2B clients and understanding their concrete problems – wasted time, fragmentation, lack of predictability. This reality naturally led me to the idea of Furnizor-Unic.ro.
The third key moment was the transition from simply selling products to building systems and processes. At that point I understood that true scaling does not come from volume, but from structure.

C&B: What was the biggest challenge in developing and scaling the platform?

Marian Stănculescu: The biggest challenge was changing the mindset of the B2B market, which is traditionally conservative and accustomed to improvisation or to the classic “sales agent – client” relationship. Many clients were, and still are, used to being visited by an agent who proposes products, not necessarily solutions.
We chose a different model: no field sales agents, everything through the platform, supported by a call-center division. The challenge was to prove that this model can offer not only efficiency, but also greater fairness.
A major advantage is that the call-center team does not operate on sales targets and is not motivated to push high-margin products. Their role is consultative: to recommend exactly what the client needs, based on the real context. This is one of our core promises – we will always recommend the right solution, not the product with the highest margin.
Scaling, in this context, was not a technical problem, but one of trust and market education – a process that is still ongoing.

C&B: Is there a dream or ambition that has always guided you, regardless of obstacles?

Marian Stănculescu: Yes: to build a stable and fair business toward clients, both in terms of pricing and the services offered. I consciously chose a more measured pace of growth, because I believe a healthy business is built on trust and consistency, not on aggressive promises or quick wins.
Even if this makes scaling more difficult, I prefer to build on a solid foundation, with long-term relationships and clear rules, rather than forcing growth through compromises that inevitably turn against both the company and its clients.

C&B: What were you like at the beginning of the journey and how do you feel you have transformed up to now?

Marian Stănculescu: At the beginning of the business I was like a first-grade student: I listened, learned, and dreamed a lot. I was curious, open, and trying to understand everything related to the market, products, and clients. Over time, however, entrepreneurship showed me that it means much more than enthusiasm: it requires sustained work, deep knowledge of the market and products, and above all the ability to stay connected to reality.
The most important thing I chose not to lose along the way is the human side. Although many top entrepreneurs talk about thinking exclusively in business terms, I chose to think human as well, oriented toward the real needs of clients. Today I am undoubtedly more mature in my thinking, more realistic and more calculated. Perhaps less of a dreamer than at the beginning, but much more grounded in what truly works.

C&B: If we were to meet your team or collaborators, what do you think they would say about you?

Marian Stănculescu: They would probably say that I am somewhat demanding, results-oriented, and quite attentive to details. At the same time, I think they would describe me as fair, consistent, and predictable in my decisions. I take responsibility when things don’t go well and I don’t shift blame elsewhere.
I prefer uncomfortable truth over false comfort and, many times, I have chosen to lose money rather than break my word. For me, fairness is not a speech, but a rule of operation.

C&B: What is the most important decision you have made that changed your trajectory?

Marian Stănculescu: The most important decision was not to build Furnizor-Unic.ro as a simple online store, but as a solution designed for people and their real needs. I understood fairly early that I didn’t want a business based on quick sales and occasional transactions, but one built on fair, long-term relationships.
This decision completely changed my trajectory: it forced me to be more careful about what I promise, what I deliver, and how I build trust. It was a harder road, but a much healthier one, both for the business and for the clients.

C&B: How do you decide which suppliers and products enter the platform? What essential criteria do you use?

Marian Stănculescu: First of all, Furnizor-Unic.ro is not a marketplace. All products delivered through the platform come from our own warehouse, and this choice obliges us to a high level of responsibility. That is precisely why the selection of suppliers and products is very strict.
We look first and foremost at reliability: suppliers who can maintain the same quality over time, who respect delivery deadlines, and who can ensure continuity. We are not interested in short-term solutions or opportunistic collaborations.
We also do not look for products with just “nice packaging” or spectacular presentation, but for honest products that do their job as promised. If a supplier cannot sustain these standards over the long term, they do not enter the platform.

C&B: What is the unique value proposition of Furnizor-Unic.ro and what differentiates it from other options on the market?

Marian Stănculescu: Furnizor-Unic.ro reduces complexity in company procurement. One partner, one workflow, and much better control over costs and deliveries. In a fragmented market, this means less time wasted and fewer problems to manage.
We do not compete on the lowest price, but on time savings, clarity, and predictability – things that, for any company, end up being worth more than a one-off discount.

C&B: What does a typical day look like for you now and which moments of the day bring you the greatest satisfaction?

Marian Stănculescu: My day actually starts before business. Mornings bring me the greatest satisfaction because, beyond being an entrepreneur, I am a father. Time spent with my children and the drive to kindergarten or school help me recharge and start the day with clarity.
Once at the office, I first deal with emergencies and things that cannot be postponed, followed by analysis, planning, and development. The greatest professional satisfaction comes when I see that things work without my direct intervention or when a client confirms that we have truly simplified their activity.

C&B: What values or principles guide you in what you do and how do you apply them day by day?

Marian Stănculescu: The values that guide me are fairness, accountability, responsibility, and long-term building. I apply them daily through decisions that may not be the fastest or most spectacular, but are fair toward clients, partners, and the team.
I avoid easy solutions that fix a moment and create problems later. I prefer to build more slowly, but solidly, with clear rules and realistic expectations. For me, a healthy business is one where promises are kept, even when that requires extra effort or additional costs.

C&B: How did the idea of Furnizor-Unic.ro come about and what gap in the supplier market did you want to cover through this project?

Marian Stănculescu: The idea of Furnizor-Unic.ro did not appear at the very beginning, but after almost five years of business experience. It was, in fact, a natural conclusion of everything I learned from direct relationships with clients. During those years I learned to listen to the market and understand the real needs of companies, not just what seemed logical from the outside.
The frustration came from the same area, constantly repeated by clients: too many suppliers, too much time wasted, lack of control and coherence in procurement. Furnizor-Unic.ro emerged as a response to this reality – a solution for simplification and centralization in an extremely fragmented market, built around what truly helps the client.

C&B: What are the development plans for Furnizor-Unic.ro over the next 3–5 years?

Marian Stănculescu: Over the next 3–5 years we are focusing on expanding our portfolio of proprietary products under the SMR Professional Hygiene brand, with an emphasis on honest products, at fair prices, adapted to the real needs of companies. This direction gives us more control over quality, continuity, and predictability.
Another important pillar is automation and the implementation of AI-type solutions in internal processes, with a very clear objective: reducing operational costs. Lower costs for us mean better prices and more efficient services for clients.
Growth will be sustainable, built step by step, without chaotic expansion, but with clear direction and operational discipline.

The story of Marian Stănculescu and Furnizor-Unic.ro is one of deliberate building, responsible decision-making, and a way of doing business that puts fairness and real client needs first.

Zambreanu Elisa, founder of HomeTrust, shares her journey toward freedom, resilience, and building a sustainable hospitality business rooted in trust and performance.

Zambreanu Elisa is the founder of HomeTrust, a business in the hospitality industry created to transform real estate investments into sustainable sources of income.

With over 9 years of experience in sales and a passion for personal growth, Elisa has built a model that combines strategy, design, and operations into a complete package for investors.

Recently, she has been developing her personal brand on LinkedIn, where she talks about business, online branding, and lessons from her entrepreneurial journey.

Through her posts, she offers readers both inspiration and practical frameworks to help them build their own path.

C&B: If we were to look at a narrative thread of your career, what were the key moments that defined you?

Elisa: I have always believed that if you choose to do the hard things, life becomes easier.

Difficult moments, both personal and professional, have shaped me as a person.

Every failure I have experienced and every wrong step pushed me to constantly develop.

C&B: What has been the most difficult moment so far in your journey, and how did you overcome it?

Elisa: It is said that “when you hit the bottom of the ocean, the only direction is up.” I have been there.

I tried to build HomeTrust three times and failed. There were days when I didn’t know where to find clients, I had no money for marketing, and I went through moments of frustration. But I didn’t give up; I constantly tried to find solutions. Each time, I chose to learn from my mistakes and come back stronger.

Those failures are proof that if you don’t give up, one day everything will align.

C&B: Is there a dream or ambition that has always guided you, regardless of obstacles?

Elisa: Absolutely. I have always wanted, and will always want, freedom. The freedom to choose what to do with my time.

I have always known that I can do more. A 9-to-5 job was never for me; it felt like a prison. I would rather work 12 hours a day for my own business and know that I have built something of my own than work for someone else. My ambition has always been to be free and to create value on my own terms.

C&B: What were you like at the beginning of your journey, and how do you feel you have transformed up to the present?

Elisa: At 18, when I was in college, I wanted to get my driver’s license, but my father believed I wasn’t mature enough to drive. That moment really sparked something in me, and I wanted to prove that I could do it and that I didn’t need anyone’s help.
Today, after years of sales and experiences, I realize that pain doesn’t stop me; it works differently for me, it motivates me. From the hardest moments, I found the energy to move forward and build.

For me, there is no “I can’t,” there is only consistency, even in moments when I don’t feel like it, and patience, because ROME wasn’t built in a dayJ).

C&B: If we were to meet your team or collaborators, what do you think they would say about you?

Elisa: I actually wrote a post a few days ago about the energy you transmit when you talk to someone.

Recently, one of my collaborators and I talked about the final objective of the business, both offline and online, and at the end he told me, “I like it so much that you are so determined and decisive that you transmitted that to me as well. I’m with you.” So people don’t collaborate with you only for what you offer, but for your energy and your values.

C&B: What is the most important decision you have made that changed your trajectory?

Elisa: I chose to never work for anyone. That was the decision that defined my path.

It’s not easy, but it clearly sets your direction and gives you the power to build your own future.

C&B: What is the mission of HomeTrust, and what does the concept of “trust” mean to you in real estate?

Elisa: The mission of HomeTrust is to help investors acquire properties in strategic areas and generate 2x profit from hotel hospitality, without having to become hotel managers.

For us, trust means transparency, clarity, and respect for the property and the owner.

Without trust, there is no real partnership.

C&B: What differentiates HomeTrust from other real estate agencies or platforms?

Elisa: I have noticed many times that this business is often confused with real estate. Even though they are in the same direction, they are completely different. This is a business in the hospitality industry.

The difference in our services is that we offer complete packages, from property acquisition to design and furnishing, all the way to operational management and profit generation.

C&B: What does a typical day look like for you now, and which moments of the day bring you the greatest satisfaction?

Elisa: Every day I try to write for at least 10 minutes. Post ideas, half a post, anything.

There are days when I’m just on calls or sending reports to property owners. On other days, I go to properties to check them.

My satisfaction comes from moments when I see an investor happy with the profit achieved. That’s when I feel I’ve done my job. I may sound crazyJ), but those are the days that give me the energy to keep going.

C&B: What is the biggest myth about the real estate market that you want to debunk?

Elisa: That’s a very good question. The biggest myth I often hear is that if you put an apartment into hotel rental, people will damage the furniture or wear out the property faster.

This is completely wrong.

In hotel hospitality, attention to detail and constant maintenance are essential.

The apartment must always be clean, checked, and well cared for, because only then can it generate profit.

In reality, a professionally managed property is preserved much better than one that is neglected.

C&B: How did the idea for HomeTrust come about, and what real market need did you identify at the beginning?

Elisa: Everything started when I left real estate. Being passionate about this field, I realized that many properties in strategic areas were staying empty. Owners didn’t have the time or a clear management system to keep this business profitable.

That’s how I realized that hotel-style rentals can be a constant source of income, but only if they are professionally managed.

That’s how HomeTrust was born, from the desire to bring clarity, performance, and peace of mind.

C&B: Is there a transaction or case that marked you and best illustrates HomeTrust’s values?

Elisa: I remember one of my clients who didn’t want to invest in furnishing his apartment. He was convinced that furniture and design didn’t matter that much, but at the same time he was unhappy that the profit wasn’t reaching the desired level and he gave up.

After some time, he changed his mind and decided to invest in furnishing and in details that would offer a better experience.

The result was that his apartment started generating higher profit than classic renting.

For me, that case was proof that hotel hospitality doesn’t just mean an accommodation space, but a business built on experience and attention to detail.

That best illustrates the values of HomeTrust.

Elisa Zambreanu’s story is ultimately about bold choices, ownership, and long-term thinking. From rejecting a conventional path to building a business that redefines hotel hospitality, Elisa proves that performance comes from clarity, consistency, and respect for both human and financial value.
