Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang visited South Korea for the first time in 15 years to announce new AI collaboration plans with Hyundai Motor, Samsung, SK Group, and Naver. During the APEC 2025 Summit, Nvidia and the South Korean government unveiled an expanded partnership to strengthen the nation’s AI infrastructure and accelerate innovation, TechCrunch reports.
The government will deploy over 260,000 next-generation Nvidia GPUs to meet rising AI demand — around 50,000 for public initiatives, including a national AI data center and domestic foundation model development, while over 200,000 GPUs will support companies such as Samsung, SK, Hyundai, and Naver in AI-driven manufacturing, robotics, and smart mobility.
