Exploring Vulnerability and Creativity: The Journey of Mihai Tiberiu Dinescu and the Invisible Gallery

Discover Mihai Tiberiu Dinescu’s journey and how the Invisible Gallery transforms art and vulnerability into a unique cultural experience.

C&B: How would you describe yourself in a single sentence, in a way that would intrigue those who don’t know you yet?
Mihai Tiberiu Dinescu: I am an explorer of ideas and curious about human nature, aiming to transform connections and challenges into projects with impact and meaning.

C&B: If we were to look at a narrative thread of your career or business, what were the key moments that defined you?
Mihai Tiberiu Dinescu: The key moments were those when I had the courage to make transitions – from IT to entrepreneurship, from traditional marketing to digital, and when I chose photography, I focused solely on the cultural field. As for the Invisible Gallery, the idea came when I moved from portrait photography to nude, and exposing the model’s vulnerability became both a priority and a challenge.

C&B: What were the major challenges when you embarked on the path of cultural entrepreneurship?
Mihai Tiberiu Dinescu: The biggest challenge was finding the balance between creativity and financial sustainability – but precisely this tension pushed me to seek innovative solutions and unexpected collaborations. It has always been about social pressure, safety versus freedom, taboo subjects, and preconceptions.

C&B: Is there a dream or ambition that has always guided you, regardless of obstacles?
Mihai Tiberiu Dinescu: Yes – the desire to create a space where people feel inspired, connected, and transformed through experience, whether in art, business, or any kind of community. I feel inspired by debates, thematic meetings, openness, embracing vulnerability, and sharing experiences.

C&B: How did you look at the beginning of your journey, and how do you feel you have transformed up to now?
Mihai Tiberiu Dinescu: At the beginning, I was enthusiastic but sometimes chaotic; I have remained enthusiastic, but much more grounded, with clarity and discipline in my steps. I try to combine the legacy inherited from master artists with innovative and impactful ideas in cultural life, as well as socially, and perhaps politically.

C&B: If we were to meet with your team or collaborators, what do you think they would say about you?
Mihai Tiberiu Dinescu: They would say I am a catalyst – a person who brings energy, confidence, and direction, but also a good listener who knows how to turn others’ ideas into concrete plans. I don’t know if they see me as a good strategist, but they certainly see me as a pleasant person and perhaps slightly arrogant for those who don’t know me!

C&B: What is the most important decision you have made that changed your trajectory?
Mihai Tiberiu Dinescu: The decision to embrace uncertainty and invest in my own path, even when there was no clear map, because that is how I built something authentic and personalized for myself.
As I like to say… “I chose the wild fields over the beaten path, thus choosing to live every day with enthusiasm and openness!”

C&B: Is there a moment, feedback, or event that confirmed that the Invisible Gallery has fulfilled its mission?
Mihai Tiberiu Dinescu: The Invisible Gallery is a mysterious project, which currently presents me, the visual creator Mihai Tiberiu Dinescu, in the role of nude photographer or with sensitive projects that cannot be publicly displayed with ease. It happens at my home or in my personal photo studio, where I display works in a controlled setting to protect the models from curious eyes and unnecessary negativity.
The mission is achieved when the Invisible Gallery and this method of presentation find clients among viewers. I relied on this aspect and am happy when others embrace it as well.

C&B: What do you think sets your business or professional approach apart from the rest of the industry?
Mihai Tiberiu Dinescu: The fact that I do not see art only as a consumer object, but as a bridge for personal and social transformation – and this makes us constantly innovate in how we connect the public with artists. A persistent intention for personal development – physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually – with the commercial aspect serving as a link of connection and appreciation between people with similar interests.

C&B: What does a typical day look like for you now, and what moments of the day bring you the greatest satisfaction?
Mihai Tiberiu Dinescu: My day begins with planning and ends with reflection… I would like to say. However, the real challenge is to remain connected to myself and to those around me at the same time. I am both an early riser and a night owl; my beauty nap at noon helps, as well as frequent practice whenever I can.

C&B: What values or principles guide you in what you do, and how do you apply them daily?
Mihai Tiberiu Dinescu: Simplicity, authenticity, and living with a smile – they guide me to remain faithful to my vision, even when the context is challenging. They help me see the full side of the glass around me, within myself, in people, and in everything surrounding me.

C&B: How was the idea of the Invisible Gallery born, and what inspired you to turn it into a real project?
Mihai Tiberiu Dinescu: It started from a personal need – to make visible what often remains hidden: emotions, stories, connections – and transformed into a collective project through meeting other people who share the same vision. At the Invisible Gallery, I wish to curate more artists, but at the moment I focus on myself to show that it is possible. Through the power of example, I aim to challenge and successfully represent other sensitive artists in succession.

C&B: What are the future plans for the Invisible Gallery – new exhibitions, partnerships, or expansions?
Mihai Tiberiu Dinescu: The plans involve both expanding offline experiences and digital ones – interactive exhibitions, international partnerships, and creating a global community that lives our values together, and why not, partnering with other communities of authentic expression.

Mihai Tiberiu Dinescu continues to inspire through creativity and courage, turning vulnerability into art and building communities that value authenticity and connection. The Invisible Gallery remains a space where hidden emotions and stories become visible.
