Technology company OpenAI expects rapid revenue growth in the coming years, with projections potentially surpassing $280 billion by 2030, according to sources cited by Bloomberg. The outlook reflects strong demand for its artificial intelligence solutions among both consumers and enterprises.
Revenue growth is primarily driven by a subscription-based model, while the company has also begun testing advertising for certain users, potentially opening a new revenue stream.

To support its expansion, OpenAI must cover significant costs related to chips, data centers, and specialized talent. Previously, the company projected spending over $1.4 trillion on AI infrastructure. According to Bloomberg sources, the revised plan indicates investments of around $600 billion by 2030.
At the same time, OpenAI is close to finalizing a new funding round that could raise more than $100 billion. The company’s overall valuation could exceed $850 billion, including the potential new capital.
Interest in AI extends beyond OpenAI. In Romania, investors have shown growing appetite for companies in the sector.
According to the analysis, AMD has become a key player in high-performance computing and now competes directly with Nvidia for dominance in the AI sector.
