Diverzum, the leading digital discounts and loyalty platform for students in Central and Eastern Europe, has officially launched in Romania as part of its regional expansion strategy, according to Forbes. Preparations for entering the Romanian market began in June 2025, followed by a pilot launch in early September aimed at students and potential partners.
Since then, the platform has attracted over 32,000 registered users and secured partnerships that currently feature more than 20 active offers, with both figures continuing to grow. The launch represents a key milestone in strengthening Diverzum’s presence across the region.

“We are excited to launch Diverzum in Romania and to create a stronger connection between Romanian students and their favorite brands. With thousands of students constantly looking for smart ways to save, Diverzum makes everyday spending simpler, more modern, and more accessible,” said co-founders Fanni Gyarmati and Miki László.
Connecting students and brands
The founders note that, for Generation Z, a brand represents more than a product and often reflects personal identity. “Diverzum addresses both student and brand needs. Students seek the best deals and value for money, while discounts help build trust and long-term loyalty. At the same time, brands can develop authentic, lasting relationships with a young audience and lower future marketing costs,” they explained.
Diverzum entered the Romanian market through partnerships with international brands popular among young consumers, including Wolt, Uber, FlixBus, Myprotein, and Fashion Days. The company expects rapid growth in Romania, supported by four years of experience and a strong local team, including Teodor Mihalache as Partnerships Manager and Ioana Ciocîrlan as Marketing Manager.
