ParkLake Shopping Center in Bucharest now hosts Romania’s first YAM barista robot. The project “YAM – You Are More” introduces a revolutionary concept: barista robots that can be digitally owned through a mobile application. This innovation offers private investors the opportunity to participate in the franchise market in a completely new way.
Digital Franchise – Accessible to Everyone
The model implemented by entrepreneur Nimrod Malinas allows anyone to own “a part of a robot” and receive monthly income generated by its activity. “Not only the wealthy should have access to franchises. Anyone can be digitally franchised, anyone can invest in a robot,” says the YAM founder.
The concept targets a new class of assets: robotic labor. YAM booths are not just coffee stands; they combine technology with proximity and consumer experience. The founder aims to turn YAM into Romania’s first locally created and developed unicorn.
“The specialty coffee industry in Romania is incredible, even better than in Italy, in my view. And when I saw what this robot can do – specialty coffee at barista level – I thought: perfect, it fits our concept of democratizing robots,” says Nimrod Malinas.

Ambitious Plans for Romania
YAM’s team currently has over 40 employees, and the number is expected to grow with the opening of three more booths by the end of the year. The company’s goal is to reach 1,000 units by 2027, signaling rapid expansion in both the local and international markets.
The Founder’s Story
Nimrod Malinas, originally from Târgu Mureș, began his journey seven years ago when he left his family, university, and hometown to build an independent future. Leaving Romania without support, a degree, or money, he started with manual labor on construction sites in Austria. Today, he leads an international robotics company from Switzerland, proving that ambition and perseverance can overcome any obstacle.
