Romgaz has launched a tender worth 4.6 million lei for audit services of its gas reserves and resources. The auditor will assess the proven, probable, and potential resources for each gas perimeter, using documents provided by Romgaz as well as data from institutions such as the National Agency for Mineral Resources (NAMR) and the Ministry of Energy.
Company representatives explained that the audit is necessary to “gain the confidence of the investment community” and increase transparency, considering that Romgaz is listed on the stock exchange. In addition, the company aims for an updated overview, taking into account depleted reservoirs, new discoveries, and the impact of modern technologies on the recovery rate of gas from wells.
