Sales Rise Despite Challenging Economic Context
Domeniile Davidescu, a family-owned winery with a four-generation tradition, announced a 24% increase in sales in the first half of 2025, despite economic and climate challenges. The company expects to close the year with a total sales growth of 25% and a harvest 10% larger than in 2024.
Company representatives attribute this positive performance to a well-executed growth strategy. Expanded retail presence – including listings in the Penny network – has increased visibility on the local market, while online sales continued to grow thanks to digital campaigns and collaborations with international marketplaces.
The HoReCa segment contributed significantly, especially in cities like Cluj-Napoca and Brașov, where Domeniile Davidescu strengthened partnerships with premium restaurants.
