DPD Romania launches a new mobile app offering full parcel control

DPD Romania has announced the launch of its new DPD mobile application, a digital solution designed to give users extended control over their shipments, whether they are senders or recipients. The app is available for free on iOS and Android and was developed to meet current demands for speed, transparency, and flexibility in deliveries, according to the company.

The new DPD app enables real-time parcel tracking, delivery option management, fast AWB creation, and instant access to the nearest DPD location or locker. Users receive automatic notifications at every stage of the delivery process, ensuring continuous visibility of shipment status.

The application includes two types of dashboards, adapted to user needs. Recipients can track parcels, choose delivery options, and quickly access available DPD points or lockers. Senders benefit from an overview of all shipments, the ability to create AWBs within seconds, manage deliveries, and access a complete shipment history.

The registration process requires only a few steps: account creation, data completion, consent for personal data processing, and secure authentication via a code sent by SMS or email. Existing MyDPD users can log in using their current credentials. DPD Romania states that all data is handled in full compliance with GDPR regulations.

“We are confident that by 2026 the DPD app will reach a download rate of over 30% and a retention rate exceeding 80% among customers who frequently use courier services,” said Adela Chiru, Marketing Manager at DPD.

DPD Romania is part of the international GeoPost network and has operated locally since 2008. The company employs more than 550 people and delivered approximately 28 million parcels in 2025, operating through an international hub in Sibiu and nine regional hubs that connect Romania with over 25 European countries.
