Dental Holding, a Romanian company backed by Abris Capital, has announced an agreement to acquire Greece-based Memodent Group, a major distributor of dental products. The transaction is subject to customary approvals and is expected to close in the first quarter of 2026.
Founded in 2000 by Agamemnon Xenoudakis, Georgios Xenoudakis, and Vasilis Papadimitropoulos, Athens-based Memodent serves around 10,000 dental clinics and 1,500 dental laboratories. The deal marks Dental Holding’s seventh strategic expansion, following its entry into Croatia and Hungary in H1 2025. The company expects revenues to exceed €130 million in 2026.

“We are extremely proud of the legacy built by our family and team over the years—defined by trust, quality, and a deep commitment to our customers and partners. Joining forces with such a reputable and forward-looking group ensures not only continuity, but also the evolution of this legacy,” said Charis Xenoudakis, co-founder of Memodent.
Regional integration and sustainable growth
“This strategic move strengthens our capabilities and positions us to integrate Memodent within Dental Holding for sustainable growth. We will continue to invest in automation and digital platforms to deliver greater value to our customers,” said Bogdan Tufeanu, CEO of Dental Holding.
Adrian Stănculescu, Partner at Abris, noted that the transaction reflects the fund’s commitment to long-term value creation through strategic integration and operational excellence. Mihai Zamfir, Investment Director at Abris, added that expansion into Greece had been planned for some time, given the market’s solid potential and improving macroeconomic indicators.
Memodent’s founders will continue to manage the Greek operations.
