Through a partnership with Ajungem MARI, OLX Group will support 400 vulnerable children and young people across Bucharest and 27 counties throughout 2026. The initiative, part of the project “Together we change communities step by step,” focuses on helping children in the protection system build independence, emotional balance, and social integration.
The program addresses key needs such as education, emotional health, autonomy, and career development, while also investing in the training and well-being of Ajungem MARI volunteers. Activities will run from January to December 2026, backed by funding of RON 625,000 (€123,247).

“Children in care are often labeled as ‘without chances,’ while early trauma limits their confidence and ability to dream. Volunteers show them they are not alone and that their potential matters. OLX Group’s support enables interventions that can truly change their long-term path,” said Iarina Taban, President of Ajungem MARI.
Emotional balance and the road to independence
Psychotherapy plays a central role in the project. Forty young people will receive weekly therapy sessions for 12 months, supported by OLX partners Storia and Autovit.ro. Alongside this, 320 teenagers will take part in recreational trips, while 100 will join personal development and career orientation workshops. A pilot mentoring program in Bucharest will also support 100 institutionalized young people.
Each year, Ajungem MARI works with more than 3,500 children and young people, supported by around 1,300 volunteers nationwide.
