The Betty Ice factory in Suceava, owned by The Magnum Ice Cream Company, a division separated from Unilever, exports over 40% of its production, depending on orders, becoming a production hub within the group, according to Ziarul Financiar.
The group operates more than 30 factories worldwide and generates sales of nearly €8 billion globally.

Investments and expansion
The company recently inaugurated a €4 million investment in a new production line at the Suceava factory. This expansion brings total investments made over the past 7 years, since the acquisition of the unit from entrepreneur Vasile Armenean, to approximately €12 million.
According to Irina Urechean, the factory stands out through its advanced technologies and its ability to cover a wide range of product formats, unlike other more specialized factories within the group.
From local production to export hub
At the time of acquisition by Unilever, the factory served only the Romanian market. It has since evolved into a strategic export hub within the group’s operations.
