Fast-food chain Popeyes continues its expansion in Romania with a new restaurant located in the drive-thru area of Urbano Shopping & Living, near Cluj-Napoca. The opening is scheduled for March 31, according to Economica.net.
Part of a broader expansion plan
The new unit represents the second Popeyes location in Cluj and is part of the company’s 2026 expansion strategy across Romania.
According to Jakub Aleksandrowicz, the brand aims to strengthen its presence in key cities nationwide.

Popeyes has been active in Romania for about four years and currently operates 20 restaurants.
Globally, the brand has more than 4,800 locations.
Launch campaign and promotions
To mark the opening, the company will offer free chicken sandwiches to the first 100 customers, along with additional rewards for early visitors.
The launch event will also feature live music inspired by New Orleans.
Product specifics
Popeyes products are based on Cajun-style recipes, with chicken marinated for 12 hours and cooked to achieve a crispy exterior and juicy interior.
Urbano Shopping & Living project
Urbano Shopping & Living is developed by URBANO Group in Florești.
The project includes around 15,500 sqm of retail space and over 1,000 sqm of drive-thru restaurant units.
