Auchan România is accelerating its green energy transition, reaching around 60% renewable energy across 40 locations through Auchan Renewable Energy, according to Revista Cariere.
Nationwide expansion
The network includes hypermarkets, supermarkets, and headquarters in Bucharest, as well as locations in cities like Cluj-Napoca, Timișoara and Constanța.
Integrated energy model
The initiative combines in-house energy production with procurement and supply through Auchan Renewable Energy.
Solar panels installed on store rooftops help reduce dependence on external sources and optimize energy use.
2030 target
The company aims to reach 100% renewable energy by 2030.

Own production and logistics
Auchan România operates photovoltaic systems on 16 hypermarkets, generating significant volumes of green energy.
