Discover the story of Cristian Drosu, physiotherapist and founder of Physioboost, about hard work, empathy, and leadership in medical recovery.
Cristian Drosu is a physiotherapist, chiropractor, and founder of the Physioboost clinic—a hardworking, dedicated individual determined to follow his path, even when it’s not easy. He doesn’t seek perfection, but real progress, through honest work and relationships built on trust. He is known for his direct and sincere way of working, the energy he invests in every case, and his constant desire to help people regain not only mobility but also confidence in their own bodies. He doesn’t claim to have all the answers, but he is certain that he won’t stop until he finds them.
C&B: How would you describe yourself in a single sentence to pique the curiosity of those who don’t know you yet?
Cristian Drosu: I crack bones.
C&B: If we look at the narrative of your career or business, what were the key moments that defined you?
Cristian Drosu: The key moment was realizing that I could do things differently and that I could help patients in a completely different, more personal, deeper way. Not just through technique, but also through the trust I give them and how I manage the team and resources.
C&B: What has been the most difficult moment in your journey so far, and how did you overcome it?
Cristian Drosu: The hardest moment was when I had to start delegating, to put patients in the hands of others. It was an exercise in trust—in colleagues, in the team, and in myself for choosing the right people. It was also an essential step in building a healthy business.
C&B: Is there a dream or ambition that has always guided you, regardless of obstacles?
Cristian Drosu: Yes. To provide a complete and effective treatment, affordable in one package. I have always dreamed of an integrated medical recovery package that includes absolutely all services, which is not only effective but also humane. And I have worked every day to make it a reality.
C&B: How did you look at the beginning of your journey, and how do you feel you have transformed until now?
Cristian Drosu: In the beginning, I was shy, full of questions and uncertainties, but also with an immense thirst to change things. Today, I am more confident, but I haven’t lost curiosity or the desire to do things better. The dreams from back then are taking shape now, and my zeal remains just as alive.
C&B: If we met with your team or collaborators, what do you think they would say about you?
Cristian Drosu: They would probably say that I’m the type of person who doesn’t accept excuses but seeks results. I like to see progress, to know that we have achieved our goals—but not under pressure, with accountability instead.
C&B: What is the most important decision you have made that changed your trajectory?
Cristian Drosu: The decision to return to Romania in 2021. Even though I was working in England, I felt that here I could build something more valuable. Romania offered me more than any Western country, both professionally and personally.
C&B: How did you build your leadership style or the way you make decisions? Was it natural or learned?
Cristian Drosu: I think I was born with a natural inclination toward leadership, but along the way, I learned how to refine my style. A good leader knows there is always room for improvement, and that’s what motivates me: the continuous process of polishing.
C&B: What do you think sets your business or professional approach apart from the rest of the industry?
Cristian Drosu: At Physioboost, we don’t just offer services—we provide an experience. Our treatments are designed for real people, with emotions, pain, and fears. There’s nothing mechanical or assembly-line about it. It’s empathy, attention, and personalization.
C&B: What does a typical day look like for you now, and what moments bring you the most satisfaction?
Cristian Drosu: I start the morning with training, followed by consultations, and in the second part of the day, I focus on strategic discussions related to the clinic. In the evening, I try to disconnect through movement, whether a walk or active sports. It gives me great satisfaction to see the team’s growth and the real progress of patients. That confirms we are on the right path.
C&B: What values or principles guide you in what you do, and how do you apply them daily?
Cristian Drosu: Two values guide me always. The first is to treat everyone—patients, employees, or colleagues—the way I would like to be treated. The second is: organizational culture reflects the leader, so I am attentive to everything I communicate and how we build the environment in which we work.
C&B: How did the idea to start this business come to you, and how did you choose the name?
Cristian Drosu: I was in England when the idea came to me. I liked the concept of “boost” because we need that impulse to recover, to get back on our feet, to move forward. That’s how “Physioboost” was born. It came from the desire to help people regain balance and strength.
C&B: If you could send a message to people following your example, what would it be?
Cristian Drosu: Don’t rush the process. Take it step by step, not by elevator. Authentic growth takes time and patience. Anything valuable is built over time, not overnight.
Cristian Drosu shows us that success in physiotherapy and leadership doesn’t happen overnight—it comes through consistent work, empathy, and a desire to improve every day. His example inspires us to invest in people and pursue real progress, not perfection.
