Software-defined vehicles, AI and electrification take center stage
From January 6 to 9, Las Vegas will once again host the world’s biggest tech players at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026. Automakers remain key participants, with BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and the Honda-Sony partnership preparing major announcements, according to Automotive News.
BMW will focus on its Neue Klasse architecture, the platform underpinning the BMW iX3 launched in 2025. The German automaker describes it as a major leap forward and its first true “software-defined vehicle.”
