Kaufland Romania is opening two new hypermarkets on February 26, in Titu (Dâmbovița) and Pantelimon (Ilfov), creating more than 140 new jobs and strengthening its local presence.
The Titu store, located on Pictor Nicolae Grigorescu Street no. 84, covers more than 3,100 sqm, with nearly 2,000 sqm dedicated to retail space. Over 1,800 sqm of photovoltaic panels have been installed on the roof to generate green energy and reduce CO₂ emissions. The store includes a shopping gallery with services such as Good2Go, Laboratorul de Bucurii, Ana și Cornel, and parcel lockers from FANbox, Sameday and GLS.

Efficiency and sustainability investments
Kaufland Pantelimon, located on Biruinței Boulevard no. 84, has a total area of over 5,700 sqm, including approximately 3,500 sqm of retail space. Around 500 photovoltaic panels are installed on its roof. The location features a shopping gallery with Dr.Max, Inmedio, Orange Store, Băcănia Sibienilor and Distos confectionery, as well as an ATM SIBS and payment stations.
Both stores offer generous parking – 136 spaces in Titu and 237 in Pantelimon – including dedicated spaces for parents and people with disabilities. Electric vehicle charging stations and bicycle racks are also available.
To ensure faster checkout, the stores are equipped with 14 and 16 cash registers, including self check-out units, and the K-Scan service for customer-operated scanning.
The new locations feature separate collection systems, including recycling machines for PET bottles, glass and cans, offering discount vouchers in return. The RON 0.50 deposit is refunded for properly marked packaging. Customers can also return cosmetic and cleaning product containers in exchange for 35% discount vouchers.
Kaufland operates more than 1,600 stores in 8 countries, including over 190 in Romania, and continues nationwide recruitment.
