Employers in Romania are currently offering 33,195 job vacancies nationwide, while another 119 positions are available in the European Economic Area (EEA) for Romanian workers through the EURES network, according to data centralized by the National Agency for Employment and cited by Agerpres, information also reported by Economedia.
Most demanded occupations
Among the most in-demand roles are truck drivers, with 2,262 available positions, followed by couriers with 2,071 vacancies. There are also 2,029 openings for unskilled construction workers, 1,620 for retail workers, 1,567 for warehouse handlers, 1,141 for kitchen assistants, 1,117 for security guards, 942 for assembly line workers, 917 for construction material processing workers, and 546 positions for cleaning staff.

Jobs by education level
Out of the 33,195 vacancies reported to employment agencies, 2,183 positions are intended for candidates with higher education, including roles such as engineers, economists, specialists in various fields and medical professionals. Another 6,049 positions are available for candidates with high school or post-secondary education, covering jobs such as retail workers, customer service agents, sales representatives, couriers and security guards.
Additionally, 6,190 jobs are targeted at people with vocational education, including positions such as truck drivers, welders, mechanical fitters or CNC machine operators. The largest share, 18,773 jobs, is intended for people without formal education or with only primary or lower secondary education.
Job opportunities across Europe
Through the EURES Romania network, employers in the European Economic Area are offering 119 job opportunities for Romanian workers.
Most of these positions are in Norway, with 48 openings for workers in salmon processing and bicycle mechanics. Other offers are available in Netherlands with 21 positions including veterinary inspector and assembly mechanic roles, in Italy with 15 jobs for bus drivers, and in Germany with 12 positions for tractor drivers and workers in meat processing.
Additional job opportunities are available in Ireland, Finland, Malta, Slovenia, France, and Belgium, covering roles in sectors such as IT, hospitality, food production and aviation.
