BMW Group to modernize all BMW and MINI showrooms in Romania within two years

BMW Group Romania plans to upgrade all 16 BMW and MINI showrooms in Romania over the next two years, as part of a broader transformation of its sales network, according to Ziarul Financiar.

The first redesigned showroom was opened in Bucharest by Auto Cobalcescu.

Open, customer-focused spaces

The new concept replaces traditional showroom layouts with open interaction areas and flexible presentation zones.

“This marks a real transformation in how we engage with customers,” said Dan Grigore.

Integrated digital experience

A key feature is the digital integration, allowing customers to start configuring a vehicle online and continue the process in-store.

The unified design covers all touchpoints, from sales to after-sales services.

Linked to Neue Klasse strategy

The transformation aligns with BMW’s global strategy and the launch of its Neue Klasse electric models, including the BMW iX3.

The group has opened a new plant in Debrecen and is upgrading its Munich facility, while planning around 40 new or updated models in the next two years.

The use of low-carbon aluminum reduces CO₂ emissions by approximately 10% per vehicle.

Local innovation

Auto Cobalcescu previously introduced the Digital Service Only concept in Romania.

“This showroom is part of BMW’s transition into a new digital era,” said Oliver Rademacher.
