Banca Transilvania finances over €50M Venice hotel in its largest cross-border deal

Banca Transilvania is providing more than €50 million in financing for the Hampton by Hilton Venice Isola Nuova, marking the bank’s largest cross-border transaction to date, according to Forbes.

Strategic international expansion

The financing is granted through BT Italia and is intended to refinance the hotel’s development costs.

The deal supports the bank’s strategy to expand its presence in Italy and strengthen its cross-border financing capabilities.

Key hospitality project in Venice

The Hampton by Hilton Venice Isola Nuova is located in the metropolitan area of Venice, a major European tourist destination.

Operated by Apex Alliance Hotel Management, the hotel has over 300 rooms and targets both leisure and corporate segments.

Complex transaction execution

According to Cosmin Călin, the deal demonstrates the bank’s ability to structure complex transactions across multiple markets.

Vytautas Drumelis highlighted the importance of working with a financial partner capable of delivering cross-border solutions.

BT’s presence in Italy

Banca Transilvania is the only Romanian bank operating in Italy through BT Italia.

The branch serves over 7,000 clients, including around 300 companies, supporting Romanian-Italian business relations.
