One app for banking and benefits
The integration is part of the bank’s strategy to simplify the digital experience, bringing together mobile banking functionalities and loyalty features into a single interface.
Customers will have direct access to cashback, offers, points, and rewards.
Changes to payment authorization
Starting mid-April, all payments made by individual customers can be authorized directly in Smart Mobile using biometrics or PIN, without needing SmartToken.
According to Cătălin Chirieac, this aims to deliver a faster and more efficient user experience.
Expanded benefits and partnerships
The Smart Market program includes over 190 partner merchants and more than 60 cashback campaigns, alongside discounts and loyalty rewards.
Major updates to Smart Mobile
Over the past year, Smart Mobile has been upgraded with features such as multibanking integration, instant virtual cards, phone-number-based transfers via RoPay, savings tools, insurance services, and direct communication with bank representatives.
