Anthropic has announced the launch of Claude Opus 4.7, the most advanced publicly available version in its Opus series, amid growing interest around the experimental Mythos Preview. The information was reported by Ziarul Financiar and The Verge.
The new model is optimized for advanced software engineering tasks, particularly complex coding scenarios, while maintaining the same pricing as the previous generation.
Improved performance, unchanged pricing
Claude Opus 4.7 delivers improvements in image analysis, instruction-following, and content generation, including documents and presentations.
Pricing remains at $5 per million input tokens and $25 per million output tokens.
Transitional model for security testing
The release also serves a strategic purpose: Opus 4.7 is used as a testing ground for cybersecurity safety measures before broader deployment.
Compared to Mythos Preview, Opus 4.7 has intentionally reduced capabilities, especially in cybersecurity.
Restricted access to top models
Mythos Preview is currently available only to selected partners such as Nvidia, Google, Microsoft, Apple and JPMorgan Chase.
Dedicated program for security professionals
Anthropic has also introduced a Cyber Verification Program, allowing security experts to use the model for vulnerability research under specific conditions.
