Streamlined prototype proves long-range potential
The Renault Filante Record 2025 concept managed to drive 1,008 kilometres without recharging, showcasing the efficiency of the 87 kWh battery also used in the Renault Scenic E-Tech, Economedia reports. The endurance test took place on December 18 at the UTAC proving ground in Morocco, after a previous attempt was postponed due to weather. The prototype ran continuously for nearly ten hours, stopping only for driver changes and routine checks.
To simulate motorway conditions, drivers were instructed to keep speeds above 110 km/h. The car averaged 102 km/h, consumed 7.8 kWh/100 km, and still had 11% battery remaining — enough for roughly 120 more kilometres.
