Leadership transition begins as restructuring plan reaches key milestones
Costin Iordache, CEO of Romania’s flag carrier TAROM, submitted his resignation on December 19, 2025, citing personal reasons, Agerpres reports. He will remain in office until January 15, 2026, while the Board of Directors appoints an interim CEO to ensure management continuity.
According to TAROM, Iordache leaves after completing most of the measures included in the restructuring plan approved by the European Commission, which focused on securing state aid, reducing debt and returning the airline to profitability.
