Behind the salon located in Bucharest is the story of entrepreneur Ioana Gheorghe, who entered the lash extensions industry while working in a beauty salon in Pitești, where she offered multiple beauty services. Her ambition to grow professionally led her to move to Bucharest and join a salon specialized in eyelash extensions, where she refined her techniques and gained valuable experience.
Over time, her professional activity expanded into the field of training, as Ioana Gheorghe began teaching courses for people interested in the profession. This experience strengthened her belief that the next natural step was to build a project of her own.
“I always knew I wanted more and that, at some point, I would build something of my own,” says Ioana Gheorghe.
From a small workspace to a growing brand
After around two years of experience in the industry, Ioana Gheorghe took the step toward independence and began working on her own in a rented space alongside other beauty professionals.
Later, the project expanded into a larger location in central Bucharest. The salon grew from 30 square meters to around 170 square meters, a decision that required significant investment and a period of adjustment.
“It was a decision that required courage, but it also came with a lot of fear. Still, I knew I had to take the risk,” she explains.
As the business developed, the team also expanded and the salon gradually formed its own identity. This evolution led to the creation of the G19 by Ioana Gheorghe brand.
The number 19 holds personal significance for the founder, referring both to the year she entered the lash extensions industry and to the age when she felt she truly took control of her professional path.
Alongside the beauty services offered in the salon, professional education has become an important pillar of the brand. Ioana Gheorghe organizes training courses for aspiring lash artists and focuses not only on technical skills but also on professional mindset.
“In my courses I do not teach only technique. I also pass on a mindset,” she says.
For the founder of G19, beauty does not start exclusively with aesthetic procedures.
“Beauty comes from within. Procedures simply enhance what is already there,” Ioana Gheorghe adds.
Today, G19 by Ioana Gheorghe operates both as a beauty salon and as a training space for professionals interested in the lash extensions industry.
