Google and Apple warn visa-holding employees in the US to avoid international travel

Google and Apple have issued internal warnings to employees working in the United States on visas, advising them to avoid international travel for the time being, according to Business Insider.

Unusual delays in H-1B visa processing raise risk of being stranded abroad

The move follows unusually long and unpredictable delays in processing work visas, particularly H-1B visas. The warnings are based on internal memos from immigration law firms representing the two tech giants. BAL Immigration Law, which works with Google, and Fragomen, Apple’s immigration counsel, cautioned that employees without a valid visa stamp risk being unable to return to the US for an indefinite period.
