According to Wall-Street, this shift has been driven by investments in modern technology, upgraded processing facilities, and the adoption of EU food safety standards.
Growing exports and EU market access
In 2024, total exports from the sector reached approximately $4 million, with key destinations including Iraq, Azerbaijan, and Ukraine. A major milestone came on January 1, 2025, when Moldova received authorization to export poultry meat products to the European Union, opening a high-potential sales segment.
