Energom, part of the French industrial group Gonzales, has inaugurated a new 8,000 sqm production facility located in the Nervia Industrial Park. The project represents a €7 million investment aimed at expanding production capacity and upgrading industrial infrastructure.
Strategic expansion and job creation
According to CEO Mathieu Widsgowski, the investment supports Energom’s long-term development within the Gonzales Group.
“The expansion of production capacity and infrastructure modernization respond to the steady growth of our operations and our commitment to innovation, performance, and industrial excellence,” he said.
The new facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and designed to provide an efficient and sustainable working environment. Energom currently employs around 170 people and plans to grow its workforce to 250 employees, focusing on technical roles such as electricians, mechanics, and engineers.

Construction works lasted approximately one year and involved several subcontractors. Project coordination was supported by Mihai Costișor, a member of the Energom team.
Energom operates in highly specialized sectors, including manufacturing, nuclear, defense, and semiconductor industries, strengthening the industrial network in the Cluj region and positioning Apahida as a high-performance technology hub.
Founded in 2002, Energom is a 100% French-owned company with operations in Cluj, Maramureș, and Argeș counties. It has more than 20 years of experience in designing and integrating electrical panels, electromechanical equipment, and industrial automation systems. Its client portfolio includes Michelin, Alstom, ABB, Clemessy, and Cegelec. The company holds ISO 9001 certification and ANRE authorization for low-voltage electrical networks.
