Available 24/7, the assistant goes beyond traditional chatbots by focusing on real DIY projects. It can recommend products based on user needs and provide step-by-step guidance for various tasks.
It also supports users in calculating material requirements, helping reduce errors in purchasing.
Integration with stores and services
The assistant provides real-time information about product availability in physical stores and can indicate product locations. It also answers questions related to orders, delivery, and returns.
Powered by generative AI, the system delivers near-instant responses and supports up to 50 languages, automatically adapting to the user.
Part of omnichannel strategy
Developed in partnership with Homie AI, the solution is part of Hornbach’s omnichannel strategy, aimed at aligning digital and in-store experiences.
The company plans to focus in 2026 on further digital integration and improving its mobile application.
Strong European presence
The Hornbach Holding AG & Co. KGaA group reported €6.2 billion in net sales in the 2024/25 financial year.
Founded in 1877, Hornbach operates 176 DIY stores and garden centers across nine European countries.
In Romania, the retailer has 11 physical stores and an online platform.
