Purcari Wineries is strengthening its footprint on the Romanian market through a new strategic move. Its subsidiary, Crama Ceptura, has signed an agreement to fully acquire CaraprodVin, based in Vrancea County, according to a filing published on the Bursa de Valori București and cited by Forbes.
The deal includes the main winemaking platform, production facilities located in Vârteșcoiu, and 33.18 hectares of vineyards in one of Romania’s most significant wine-growing regions. The transaction value has not been disclosed and remains subject to regulatory approvals.

Strategic entry into Romania’s largest wine region
Company representatives highlighted that Vrancea, the country’s largest wine region, is known for its white grape varieties and distinctive terroir. The acquisition marks Crama Ceptura’s first operational presence in the area, supporting the group’s regional expansion strategy.
Continued acquisition momentum
The move follows another recent transaction announced in March, when Purcari acquired Crama SERVE, a well-established Romanian producer with an annual output of approximately 0.5 million bottles.
A growing regional player
Founded in 1827, Purcari Wineries currently manages around 2,000 hectares of vineyards and operates seven production facilities across Moldova, Romania, and Bulgaria.
The group is owned by Maspex Romania, part of Maspex, the largest privately owned FMCG company in Poland. As of the end of 2025, Maspex operated 18 production plants and produced over 2.2 billion liters of beverages annually, alongside significant volumes of food products and alcoholic drinks.
