Trendyol has exceeded 10,000 active Romanian sellers, after tripling its local merchant base over the past six months, according to data cited by Wall-Street.ro. These sellers now account for 55% of the platform’s total business volume in Romania.
Around 2,000 Romanian merchants have already expanded into Greece and Bulgaria. For those engaged in cross-border sales, these markets generate an average 30% increase in business.

Rapid growth in user base
Two years after entering the Romanian market, Trendyol has reached 2.7 million active buyers. The company aims to grow this number to 4 million active users in Romania by 2026.
At the same time, Trendyol plans to expand its merchant network in Central and Eastern Europe, targeting 20,000 sellers by the end of the year.
Marketing and influencer-driven visibility
In 2025, Trendyol boosted the visibility of Romanian sellers through marketing campaigns and collaborations with content creators. More than 8,000 influencers generated over 70,000 pieces of content.
Regionally, the platform reached over 90% of internet users in CEE during its November campaign. During the same period, the app ranked at the top of Google Play and App Store charts, becoming the most downloaded app in Romania, Greece, Bulgaria, and Moldova.
SMEs dominate the local ecosystem
Over 90% of Romanian sellers active on the platform are small and medium-sized enterprises, contributing to a diverse product offering.
A global e-commerce player
Founded in 2010 in Istanbul, Trendyol has become Turkey’s first decacorn and one of the leading global e-commerce platforms. It connects over 250,000 merchants and brands with more than 40 million customers across multiple regions, including Central and Eastern Europe.
