A journey built step by step: Stanciu Ionuț Alexandru and the lessons of modern entrepreneurship

An interview with Stanciu Ionuț Alexandru, founder of Remoute.com and CTO & Managing Partner at DocuGo.ro, exploring his journey in technology, entrepreneurship, digitalization, and building products with real impact.

Stanciu Ionuț Alexandru, founder of Remoute.com and CTO & Managing Partner at DocuGo.ro, leads technological initiatives that accelerate digitalization in Romania, with a strong focus on efficiency, innovation, and an intuitive user experience. Beyond the tech sphere, he is also the creator of the “Saturday Coffee” concept, an informal networking event dedicated to quality people who want to connect authentically, without sales pitches or hidden agendas — just real conversations and community.

C&B: If we were to look at a narrative thread of your career, what were the key moments that defined you?

Alexandru: Looking back, I believe the moments that defined my professional journey are tied to the courage to explore and to build. I spent over 20 years living in Italy, where I discovered my passion for technology. In 2010, I launched my first personal project, a blog called AndroidTime, through which I began learning about the digital ecosystem and shaping an innovation-oriented mindset; that was also my first exit — 380 euros, a fortune at the time 😀

In parallel, I worked in logistics and supply chain, gradually taking on roles of responsibility that taught me process rigor and the importance of balance between strategy and execution.

In 2022, I decided to return to Romania and pursue the entrepreneurial path, a step that felt natural to me. I was part of the founding team of Aidly.ro, an experience that confirmed my desire to build products with real impact. Recently, I started a new chapter with Remoute.com, a project that reflects my vision of modern work and global collaboration, and at the same time I am CTO and Managing Partner at DocuGo.ro, where I contribute to the development of technological solutions for the digitalization of administrative processes.

C&B: What has been the most difficult moment in your journey so far, and how did you overcome it?

Alexandru: The most difficult moment was, without a doubt, the bootstrapping period of my first startup. For almost a year and a half, I worked without external funding, relying solely on my own resources and a lot of determination. Anyone who has been through such a process knows how challenging it can be — every decision matters, every step requires a balance between dream and reality.

The lack of funds made testing and scaling the project more difficult, but I compensated through discipline, willpower, and personal sacrifices. It was a phase that taught me immensely: how to prioritize what truly matters, how to build efficiently, and, above all, how to stay consistent even when progress seems slow. In a way, that period became the foundation on which I learned to grow stronger and more sustainable projects.

C&B: Is there a dream or ambition that has always guided you, regardless of obstacles?

Alexandru: The ambition that has always guided me is to build things that truly work — products, services, ideas that bring real value. I enjoy the creation process, even when it involves failures or changes in direction. I believe in iteration, in adaptation, and in the courage to start over wiser than before. For me, progress does not mean perfection, but continuity and constant learning.

C&B: What were you like at the beginning of your journey, and how do you feel you have transformed up to the present?

Alexandru: At the beginning, I was probably more fragile and less prepared for the shocks that the business environment brings. When you are an employee, there is a certain comfort and safety net; in entrepreneurship, however, you quickly learn that stability is something you build yourself.

Today I feel much stronger, more balanced, and more confident. I have learned to choose the battles that deserve my energy, to react with calm and discernment, and to value time as a limited resource. Perhaps the most important change is how I relate to people: I no longer see relationships through the lens of roles, but through the lens of character. I believe that beyond titles, we are all equal, and that is where authentic respect begins.

C&B: If we were to meet your team or collaborators, what do you think they would say about you?

Alexandru: I think it would depend a lot on the period in which you asked my collaborators. In more tense moments, they would probably say that I am demanding, that I have high expectations, and that sometimes I can seem too harsh or too perfectionist. In more relaxed periods, however, I believe they would say that I am an open person, pleasant to work with, and someone who knows how to appreciate the work of others.

Overall, I think they would describe me as a collaborator who asks a lot, comments often, but always with the intention of improving and bringing out the best in every project.

C&B: What is the most important decision you have made that changed your trajectory?

Alexandru: The most important decision I made was to exit Aidly.ro. At a certain point, the direction the project was taking began to move away from my vision of what a startup means and how I want to build. It was a difficult choice, but a necessary one.

That decision opened up new opportunities and, above all, gave me the freedom to experiment, explore new ideas, and build based on the lessons I had learned. It was the moment that confirmed for me that sometimes you have to let go of something good in order to reach something that truly fits.

C&B: What personally attracted you to the role of Managing Partner in a legal tech company?

Alexandru: Although my main role is that of CTO, where I handle everything related to infrastructure, technical architecture, guidance, and consulting, I also accepted the role of Managing Partner in the legal tech area because I saw a real opportunity for growth there.

The legal tech field is in a moment of profound transformation, and for me it was interesting to bring a technological perspective into a traditional sector. In general, what attracts me to a project is its potential — I like to identify niches where I can add value, understand the mechanisms behind them, and build solutions that can change the way people interact with services.

C&B: The area of legal documents is perceived as rigid and bureaucratic. How does DocuGo.ro manage to change this perception?

Alexandru: It depends a lot on the type of document, but essentially DocuGo.ro aims to simplify a process that many perceive as slow and bureaucratic. Through the platform, users can quickly obtain official documents from state institutions, without wasting hours in lines or dealing with complicated procedures.

The secret lies in our network of partner lawyers, who handle requests directly, ensuring both legality and efficiency. In the end, what we offer is time and comfort — a modern, secure, and transparent way to obtain documents, at a reasonable cost for the value saved.

C&B: What does a typical day look like for you now, and which moments of the day bring you the greatest satisfaction?

Alexandru: I like to have well-organized days. Every morning I plan my important activities so that I know exactly when I have meetings, when I can work in deep focus, and where I need to invest my energy. I usually start the day by checking emails and LinkedIn — where I am very active — and interacting with people in the community through comments and messages.

At the office, the day is split between strategic moments and “hands-on” work: coding, analysis, research, testing new features, or discussions with partners. When technical issues arise, I prefer to resolve them immediately, through dialogue and collaboration. It is intense, dynamic work, never boring.

The most satisfying moments are when I finalize a feature or receive positive feedback from a tester or an end user. That feeling that my work truly has a concrete impact — that a digital solution I designed actually works and helps someone — is my greatest motivation.

C&B: What values or principles guide you in what you do, and how do you apply them day by day?

Alexandru: The values that guide me are honesty, perseverance, and the desire to build things that truly matter. I believe that in business, as in life, you need to be fair and transparent — with yourself, with your partners, and with your users.

I apply daily the principle that progress comes from consistency, not luck. I like to move step by step, test, learn from mistakes, and stay true to the initial goal: to create real value. At the same time, I place great emphasis on respect for people — regardless of role, title, or context. For me, relationships based on trust and honest communication are just as important as any line of code.

C&B: How would you describe Remoute.com (my main project) today, beyond the product itself, as a business philosophy?

Alexandru: Beyond the product itself, Remoute.com is about precision and relevance. We built an AI platform that does not list freelancers, but intelligently matches them with the real needs of clients, analyzing a large amount of data — from technical skills and working style to commercial compatibility and collaboration flow.

Our business philosophy is simple: we don’t want to offer options, but clear solutions. In a market saturated with offers, Remoute.com brings clarity and time savings, showing only relevant professionals, with a visible matching percentage for each category. We believe that the future of collaboration is not just about connection, but about intelligent alignment between people and objectives.

C&B: What were the most important choices made to support the healthy growth of the company?

Alexandru: The most important choices were related to people — who I collaborate with, whom I trust, and how we build together. I believe that a healthy company does not grow only through processes and strategy, but through the balance between responsibility and delegation.

For me, it was essential to learn to let go of control where there is competence and real involvement. Many entrepreneurs shy away from delegation, but I discovered that trust in the right people is precisely what allows a company to grow sustainably.

Stanciu Ionuț Alexandru’s story is not about overnight success or universal formulas, but about building with intention, consistency, and the courage to make difficult decisions when vision demands it.
